Recently The Church of Tina Chopp has been recieving a very large quantity of "spam", unsolicited email advertising web services (like we need them), diet plans, country music memorabilia and other garbage. We do not take kindly to this kind of behavior. Internet is commercial enough already without us having to deal with people sending us garbage. We will not tolerate our email address being added to any commercial mailing list, and we will make life difficult for you if you send us unsolicited advertisements.

Consider the following example. We recieved the following unsolicited advertisement from "anon@temp.net":

YES, THIS SITE HAS ALL the ANSWERS TO ALL the TOUGH QUESTIONS on
politics, religion, conservatives, liberals, creation, abortion, racism,
and anything else that's worth addressing.

We copied the email, including the header, and sent our "standard unsolicited email response" to the administrators of the mail server which processed the message:

The Church of Tina Chopp recieved the following attached unsolicited email
with an obscured return path. We request that our address be removed from
any and all address lists in use by any user at mail.msy.bellsouth.net
[205.152.128.21] 

Any further unsolicited contact from any user at mail.msy.bellsouth.net
[205.152.128.21] which has an obscured return path could be interpreted as
harrassment and as such will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the
law.

And we recieved the following response from abuse@bellsouth.net:

It may take a day or two before all offending communications from this
cancelled BellSouth.net account are cleared from our servers. Therefore,
it is possible that you could receive additional communications from this
account during this time. Please be patient with us and rest assured that 
such communications should stop shortly.

In concusion we would like to say, very emphatically, do not, under any circumstances, for any reason whatsoever, add our email address to a commercially distributed mailing list. To do so is to risk the Wrath of Tina Chopp which is NOT a pretty sight.
